Suicide at RPI Sends Six to Hospital

Six people were sent to the hospital today after being exposed to chemicals one student used to commit suicide.  Police were called to the Colvin Circle student housing complex around 6:00 this morning to reports of a student suicide.  Upon arriving, they found that six people had entered the student’s room.  They say dangerous household chemicals were used, and that all six people were treated at Samaritan Hospital as a precaution.  Crews are expected to remain in the area for quite some time to decontaminate the area.  The student is not being identified pending the notification of family.
